Finding Gems In Your Backyard! - by Mr. International
I have been fortunate enough to have traveled and worked around the world staying in exotic places and extremely beautiful resorts. I’ve always considered myself lucky and I‘m not bragging but more to qualify this
story of my past experiences. Hidden right here under our nose is a fantastic treasure you must experience for yourself.
After spending more than 26 million dollars in renovations, the Innisbrook Resort is truly something to behold. I am here to tell you that this is one of the most beautiful resorts I’ve had the pleasure of visiting.
Nestled here in Palm Harbor you would think you’ve been transported to an exotic oasis in some far away land. I have friends in Tampa that think it’s too far to drive over the bridge to play golf, even though Innisbrook has four world class golf courses?
I guess the PGA TOUR think it’s worth the travel, as the Transitions Championship is held here on the Copperhead course. Maybe not enough people know that there are social memberships that include access to all the courses, tennis, racquetball, pools and spa for less than one round in Hawaii.
I have to mention my incredible day at Indaba, the health and beauty spa. Wow, what a treat! Inside and out this is a spa to rival your dreams and fantasies when you want to be pampered. From the moment you walk up to the babbling brook outside the front door you feel a relaxing calm from within. You can let go of the hectic world outside while the steam bath clears away the day’s tensions and tight muscles. I always recommend a message to really relax the body and soul. For the Ladies the Salon has a complete menu of treatments to complement your beauty and enhance your day. I’m sure when you visit the Indaba spa you'll want to make a day of it. Just make a reservation in advance.
As I traveled through the massive 900 acres of Innisbrook I was amazed at all the natural beauty and lush vegetation. There is a nature trail through some of Florida’s original
tropical forest surrounding a spectacular lake. If swimming is your thing there are six pools including the Loch Ness water slide, which is great fun! The kids will love it too. I marveled at the manicured greens and rolling fairways for mile after mile. Innisbrook is actually known for its elevations in play, which as we know in Florida is rare.
If you are a true golf connoisseur, I can’t imagine how you wouldn’t be in heaven with such a variety of courses. The best part of this resort isn’t its forty years of steep history or the accessibility of amenities; it’s how affordable they have made it.
Weekend packages and phenomenal summer rates make this resort a bargain, all the rooms are condos and there are over six hundred of them.
Living in the area I go in search of new restaurants all the time and I never thought to check out the two spectacular dining venues at Innisbrook that are open to the public. Each restaurant has its own atmosphere and world class chefs to satisfy the most demanding of palates. Packard’s Steak House offers fine dining with prime aged beef that you would expect to find in Denver. While Market Salamander offers lighter fare and a fantastic patio.
To sum things up we have an inexpensive world class resort and spa with four premium golf courses, six pools, tennis, work out facilities and luxury accommodations all within a few minutes’ drive.
I love finding gems like this to tell my friends about, it’s one of the pleasures of living in such a tropical paradise.
